According to Hani, a new disclosure of public officials' assets shows prosecutors dominate the top wealth rankings among multiple homeowners.
Of 1,298 multi-home owning officials, 24.2% are prosecutors. The richest prosecutor reported assets worth 8.4 billion won ($6.3 million).
The data covers 4,700 senior officials including lawmakers and judges. 28% of all officials own more than one home, up from 25% last year.
Prosecutors also lead in average asset value: 2.1 billion won ($1.6 million), nearly double the average for other senior officials.
The disclosure is part of South Korea's annual public register to combat corruption. Critics say it highlights wealth concentration in the justice system.
