Lotte Giants snapped a 5-game losing streak on April 23 with a 6-1 win over Doosan Bears at Sajik Stadium.
Manager Kim Tae-hyung credited starter Rodriguez's strong pitching and 12 hits from the lineup for the victory.
But Kim didn't linger on the win. He immediately turned his focus to the upcoming weekend series against KIA Tigers in Gwangju.
"We will return to Sajik with good results from the 3-game series in Gwangju," Kim said, per Chosun.
The comment is seen as a direct challenge to KIA, who currently lead the league. Lotte sits mid-table but is gaining momentum.
The Gwangju series starts April 25. Lotte aims to climb the standings with a strong showing on the road.
