Korean small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have secured a 120 billion won ($120B) export contract with Vietnamese buyers during President Lee Jae-myung's state visit to Vietnam.
The deal was announced on April 23 (local time) at the Korea-Vietnam Business Partnership event held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.
Organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the event included a trade meeting with 100 Korean SMEs and Vietnamese buyers.
According to Chosun, the agreement marks a significant boost for Korean exports amid global economic challenges.
The partnership event is part of broader efforts to strengthen economic ties between Korea and Vietnam under the state visit.
